EIS PresRegistration for 2017/2018

The Elizabethtown Independent Schools will hold summer pre-registration on Thursday, July 20, 2017, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. for kindergarten through Grade 12 students who will be new to the Elizabethtown School District. (Pre-registration is not necessary for students currently enrolled or who have already pre-registered in the Elizabethtown School District.)

● Kindergarten pre-registration will be held at Panther Academy located at 634 N Mulberry.  To enroll in Kindergarten for the 2017/2018 school year, a student must be 5 years old on or before August 1, 2017.
● For grades 1 through 8, pre-registration will be held in the principal's office of the respective school (T K Stone Middle School located at 323 Morningside Drive serves students in grades 6 through 8; Morningside Elementary School located at 313 Morningside Drive serves students in grades 1 through 5; Helmwood Heights Elementary School located at 307 Cardinal Drive serves students in grades 1 through 5).
● For students in grades 9 – 12, please call the Elizabethtown High School guidance office at 270-769-3381 to schedule an appointment. Elizabethtown High School is located at 620 N Mulberry.
● Preschool registration will be held at a different date.

Parents/guardians should bring the following items:
Child's state certified birth certificate; child's social security card is optional; if available, the
child's current Kentucky certificate of immunization; any academic records to assist in
placement.

Forms for the required physical examination and/or vision exam and/or dental exam will be provided at the pre-registration and must be submitted to the school prior to the first day of school (Wednesday,
August 9, 2017).

Any-year Central Hardin High School Reunion

This Friday night the 21st from 7pm-midnight, there is a free any-year Central Hardin High School reunion at Heartland Sports Pub.  Everyone is encouraged to wear their CHHS attire.

St Agnes Carnival & Concerts

St. Agnes Church Carnival and Concerts is July 21 & 22.  Johnny Edwards (formerly of Buster Brown & Foreigner) will perform with his band, Bleu Phonque, on Saturday, July 22.  More information at www.stagneslouisville.org

Ride For The Wall

Veterans Tribute Group is holding a Ride For The Wall to raise money to build a permanent replica Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall.  The Ride happens on Saturday July 22nd and will start at Boundary Oak Distillery, 2000 Boundary Oaks Drive in Radcliff, KY and end at Veterans Tribute Park on Ring Road in Elizabethtown, the site of the Wall.
 
The cost is $10 per bike and $5 for extra rider. All funds raised are donated toward building the Wall.  Registration starts at 9am at Boundary Oak Distillery and the Ride starts at 10am.

KY Heartland Quality Deer Mgmt Assoc.Banquet

Hardin Co History Museum Needs Volunteers

The Hardin County History Museum is looking for volunteers to help at the museum.  Volunteers would be responsible to greet and help guests visiting the museum and making change for any purchases, during museum hours of 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Tuesday through Saturday.  We also need volunteers as guides, for special events and to help with other facets of the museum.   If you are flexible, energetic, and enthusiastic about Hardin County and Kentucky history, then we just might be the place for you.  To pick up an application drop by the museum at 201 W. Dixie Ave. Elizabethtown during regular business hours or go online to http://www.hardinkyhistory.org, scroll down to click on “volunteers” and down load the application.  You can drop off completed applications during regular business hours.  The Hardin Co.
